Be a part of world missions right where you are: Pray for the men and women reaching out to their own nations with the Gospel. Some names of people and places are withheld for security reasons.
AFC Ghana continues training church leaders through a ministry entitled TALI (The Ambassador's Leadership Institute). Recently, 40 participants studied the book of Galatians and The Doctrine of Christ. The team also trains women through a work known as Focus on the Heart. Pray the believers who have gone through the training would have a great impact for Christ within their communities and churches.
In recent days, AFC Pakistan was privileged to have Regional Director of AFCI Asia, Barnabas Mam, in country to assist the ministry. Barnabas spoke at churches, conferences and seminars, and assisted in outreach meetings as well. Pray God would continue to bring to mind the principles Barnabas shared so that believers would serve God with fervor and in faith. Pray those seeking would continue to examine the claims of Christ.
Ministry in the north of Ghana continues through one to one sharing. Through the life of one woman in particular, seven people have come to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Pray these new believers will grow in their relationship with Christ. Pray God will keep them safe as they walk with Him.
AFC Cambodia's Mr. S, recently taught the ICPC students on the topic of Biblical preaching, and Pastor L taught them on Christian funerals and weddings. Pray each student will grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ as they study the Word of God. Pray each student will be adequately prepared for ministry.
AFC Cambodia continues to speak at various churches in different provinces. Pastors S and G preached to 70 people in Kandal Province, and Barnabas joined them for ministry in Kampot Province. Rice and clothing were also provided for the poor. The team has also encouraged members of the military with several receiving the love of God. It is not uncommon for large numbers of people to believe on Christ at a meeting. Pray for the growth of these many believers and for continued open doors for the AFC team.
AFC Peru continues its ministry on different fronts. Outreach for youth has been conducted using mime, and the Life in the Spirit Seminar has encouraged many. The training of pastors also continues, as does literacy training in various cities. Jorge Luis will be working with a pastor in Huancavelica in attempts to strengthen the church there. Pray many who hear the Word will turn to faith in Christ and that believers will have a huge impact for Jesus within their communities.
In June, AFCI's Curt Knapp led a team of workers to the central jungles of Peru for ministry. Working in partnership with AFC Peru, workshops were held for the women in that area. Curt also made a trip to Chimbote to visit with Pastor Juan Tapia. Pray these women will be strengthened in their faith as a result of the teaching they received.
