Team Leadership Conference for Romanian Youth Pastors and Leaders

Location: Romania

Greetings from Romania!

After more than five months of preparation, twelve young evangelical leaders joined forces to launch a training conference for youth pastors and leaders.  More than 120 attended.

The conference, held April 7-12th, in Herculane (Romania) was a successful joint ministry effort between AFCI and six other Christian groups: Baptist, Pentecostal, Brethren, Charismatic, Independent and Lord's Army Christians.

The purpose of this conference was to challenge Romanian evangelical youth leaders and pastors to implement stronger teamwork and team leadership initiatives.  This was important because many had not committed themselves to discipleship as a lifestyle.

The atmosphere was enthusiastic and productive.  The speakers used a combination of formal and casual teaching methods to motivate and inform. Each speaker sought to impart ministry skills and personal convictions to encourage the attendees to share their lives and leadership with those they serve.

I had the privilege of introducing the conference and sharing the overall vision with the audience: "The Lord is doing a new thing in Romania by joining evangelical forces across denominations in an effort to train hundreds and thousands of leaders for local and global missions.  As your hosts, we are here because we love the Lord.  You are here as our guests because we love you and believe in you."

After the conference, many shared heartfelt comments about the conference:

From the entire team here, thank you for your prayers of support!  I'm certain that, through this conference, God will touch the lives of many people.

In His service,
Gelu Paul-Faina, National Director, AFCI-Romania
