AFCI Ghana is part of the Africa & Middle East Region.
The ministry of AFCI Ghana focuses on:
- Evangelism, Discipleship and Church Planting – Strategically placed team members collaborate with local churches to encourage church members to be passionate in reaching the lost for Christ.
- Training – Through conferences, seminars, home Bible studies, and short term training programs, AFCI Ghana is equipping Christian leaders to effectively shepherd the growing flock of Ghana’s believers.
- Marriage & Family Life Training and Counseling – AFCI is teaching a biblical model of marriage to leaders who multiply that training to others, creating a new family paradigm in Ghana.
- Focus on the Heart – Women on the team are encouraging and equipping other women to grow in faith and minister in their churches, homes, and communities.
Formerly called the Gold Coast, Ghana gained independence in 1957 and became a republic on July 1, 1960. English is the official language of this west African nation, but there are several local dialects. Its people are known for hospitality and friendliness. One of Ghana’s cities, Tema (harbor city) is the last point of human habitation on the south Greenwich Meridian (longitude zero). Most Ghanaians claim Christianity, although there are many who practice Islam and traditional African religions. The climate is tropical. Major exports include cocoa, gold, diamonds, manganese, and bauxite.
