AFCI DR of Congo is part of the Africa & Middle East Region.

The ministry of AFCI DR of Congo focuses on:

• Preaching - The ministry has been blessed to preach in churches in Lubumbashi, Likasi Kolwezi, Manono, Kinshasa, Kisangani, and Isiro
  
• Seminars – Many have experienced spiritual awakening through AFCI seminars
  
• Strengthening marriages – By educating engaged couples before marriage and training married couples, marriages are strengthened, encouraged and modeled for others
  
• Teaching - Dr. Kadony is a professor of International Relations at the University of Lubumbashi (l’Université Protestante de Lubumbashi)

The DRC (formerly Zaire) was at war from 1996 until a unity agreement was reached in 2003. This was the widest interstate war in modern African history, earning the epithet of "Africa’s World War." Millions died in this central African nation and millions more were displaced. Recent elections have resulted in a reduction of hostilities but the state remains weak and much of the eastern region continues to suffer from violent conflict. About 80% of the Congolese people are Christian.
